P.R.A.Y. Religious Emblems Program at St. Johns! 

Available to all K5-12th grade students, including members of the Boy Scouts of America, Girl Scouts of the USA, and American Heritage Girls.

Coming in January, all Girl and Boy Scouts in Kindergarten through 12th grade will have the opportunity to earn the P.R.A.Y Faith Award for their appropriate grade level at St. John’s.

 

Kindergarten – 8th grade will have the opportunity to earn the award jm nobgrnd

during the Sunday School hour. The program will run 9:45-10:35 Sundays January 6-February 17.


High School Youth (9-12th grade) will work independently and meet with an adult mentor periodically.


Awards will be given during Scouting Sunday worship the weekend of Feb 23-24.

Do I need to be a member of St. Johns?

No! Anyone is welcome to attend programming and earn the award, even if you are not Lutheran.

If you are a member of a different faith or religious tradition, be sure to check to see which award you should earn below. Many religious traditions earn the same award, but some are different.

Is there a cost?

There is no cost for the program but there is a nominal cost for the award. That information is available on the registration page.

 

I'm a 6th grader. Which award should I earn?

Sixth-grade students can choose to earn either the God and Family or the God and Church award. God and Family will be taught by Mrs. Beyerlein during the Sunday School hour. God and Church will be taught by Mrs. Lange and Mrs. Elfers. If you earn God and Family, you will have a chance to earn God and Church later on. Please register for the award you wish to earn.


Can I invite my troop or pack?

Absolutely! You can print out the flyers from the link above for specific awards, or you can use these general flyers. Everyone must register!

What if we miss a week?

To earn the award, all the materials need to be completed. If you need to miss a week, please see your classroom teacher for makeup work and turn it in when completed!
