Prayer Vigil

Date/Time
Date(s) - 11/01/2020
6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Location
St. John's Lutheran Church

Jesus said “where two or more are gathered in my name … I am there with you”.

Feelings and emotions are bombarding us every day.  When we pray, God can bring calm to our unrest. He listens to our prayers of lament, he listens to our prayers of petition, he hears our prayers of hope and he fills us with love.

Come, gather (in your vehicle) at St. John’s for a collective community of prayer.  We can pray for healing, for kindness, for our country, for the world, for justice, for our church families near and far. We can pray for each other and for the saints who have gone before us.

Each of us will be praying our own prayers, in or by our cars, however, by praying at the same time, we are in communion with one another and with God.

When you sign up, you will make a commitment to arrive at least 5 minutes before 6:00 p.m. to get your assigned parking spot; stay in your parking space (sitting in the car, back of the SUV or on your own chairs behind your car; wear a mask; and spend the hour in quiet prayer, Bible reading, or silent contemplation.

Spaces are limited. Reserve your spot on SignUpGenius through our website, makedisciples.com, or by clicking here.
Following the prayer vigil, we will all leave to our homes, hopefully feeling filled with the spirit.

Footnote:  Dress for the weather. Bring your own blankets and lawn chairs.
The Church building will NOT be open.
