Advent Devotions
Advent is the time of year that we prepare and wait for the coming of Christ. You are invited to join St. John’s in daily Advent devotions from congregation members beginning December 3, 2023.

Giving Tree
The Giving Tree will include items from local agencies to bless others in our community this Christmas. They include Angel’s Baby Closet, ACAP (Adaptive Community Approach Program), WILC (Wisconsin Independent Learning College) and the Women’s Center. Specific wish list items are on tags on the tree in the narthex.
Gift donations should be put under the tree unwrapped.
Gift cards should be put in one of the dropboxes – either on the wall by the office or outside of the doors by the Circle Drive.
Christmas Food Drive
Christmas Food drive: This year will be St. John’s 39th annual food drive. We deliver food (fixin’s for a holiday meal, including a ham or turkey, plus general food staples) for less fortunate families.
How can you help? Pick up and fill one (or more) of our requested “red”, “green” or “white” grocery lists … provide a ham or turkey … deliver food … there are plenty of opportunities to serve.
Green & Red complementary lists are for All Peoples, to honor the specific items they’ve requested. All Peoples is requesting home baked cookies of any kind.
A limited number of red and green cloth bags will be provided for All Peoples food donations. These will be used by our All Peoples recipients to facilitate carrying home the food donations.
White lists are for the Waukesha Food Pantry.
Get into the Christmas Spirit by checking out the sign-up sheet in the narthex. We need drivers for Saturday morning, December 16.
For Waukesha food pantry white list, please “double bag”, and staple your list to the bag. If you don’t have a cloth bag for All Peoples, no problem, they can still use your donations in a double paper bag.

Advent Meditation Hours
December 3, 10, and 17 | 5:00-6:00 p.m.
When chaos and emotions of December are too much – and you find yourself needing to refocus – come to St. John’s for sanctuary. The sanctuary will be open. Lights will be low. Candles will be lit. Soft music will be playing. Come for the whole hour or just a few minutes, whatever works best for you. You may sit and quietly meditate on provided material or you may just sit.
